Our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program needs volunteers to help low-to-moderate income residents prepare and file their taxes. Volunteers will be provided with IRS certified training.

Thursday, February 1 from 10AM--1PM. Join us for a free vaccine clinic where you can receive flu and/or COVID vaccines and blood pressure check. There will also be a $10 gift certiciate and goodie bag for those that receive a vaccine. No appointment neccessary: 2247 Western Avenue, CAC Ross ...Building.

Tuesday, 1/23/24, the CAC Ross Building and East Neighborhood Center will open from 10:00am to 4:45pm. Our hours are delayed and services will be limited due to contiinued hazadous conditions. URGENT NEED: Volunteers and food donations are still needed for our community warming centers. Please call call 211 or email the Knoxville-Knox County Office of Housing Stability at office@knoxtnhousing.org----to donate or volunteer.

With the dangerous temperatures continuing, warming ...centers will be up and running through Saturday evening. In addition to Vestal UMC , Magnolia Avenue UMC 2022 2022, and Cokesbury Church Knoxville , the The Salvation Army of Knoxville will also open its gym to shelter folks. Warming center DO accept pets with their owners.

Following are details for Friday (Jan 19, 2024) & Saturday (Jan 20, 2024):

➡️Vestal United Methodist Church, 115 Ogle Ave. Open all night and day. Doors close for the night at 8pm

➡️Magnolia Avenue United Methodist Church, 2700 E. Magnolia Ave. Open all night and day. Doors close for the night at 8pm

➡️Cokesbury Church, 9919 Kingston Pike (on the north campus, in the Fig Tree day center area). Opens at 7pm Friday, open all day Saturday. Doors close for the night at 8pm.

➡️Salvation Army, 409 N. Broadway. Open from 6pm to 8am.

UPDATE: Friday, 1/19/24, CAC offices will be CLOSED.

❄️Knox County CAC Transit will operate limited routes for essential services.
❄️Knox County Mobile Meals will suspend meal delivery and congregate dining for Friday January 19. Snow meals provided yesterday will be for ...today.

Services will resume at regularly scheduled hours on Monday, 1/22/24.
