May is National Community Action Month!
It’s a special time of year to share our stories, showcase our successes and raise awareness of the power and impact of our nation’s Community Action Agencies. Community Action Month is a cause for celebration and our work remains as important as ever to so many individuals and families throughout our community.
The Knoxville-Knox County Community Action Committee (CAC) is a local public agency serving the community with a comprehensive range of federal, state, and locally funded programs. CAC promotes family self-sufficiency and independent living through caring and effective delivery of needed services and the development of partnerships at all levels.
Community Action’s proven track record of results is built on innovative, responsive, and efficient programs that are uniquely tailored to meet local needs. By leveraging multi-sector partnerships, Community Action enhances local impact and strengthens economic mobility for families.
