Office on Aging – RSVP Volunteer Coordinator

BLOUNT COUNTY COORDINATOR

We are looking for someone to help older adults in Blount County with transportation needs by recruiting and managing RSVP participants who are driving for the award-winning SMiles senior transportation program in Blount County. Assist with publicity, events, recognition, newsletters, community outreach that will expand SMiles and serve more local seniors. Coordination, documentation, and implementation are all parts of this job, which is funded by the Knoxville-Knox County Community Action Committee. Must be accurate and attentive to detail. Must have excellent computer skills. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Bachelor’s degree and two years of work experience is preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Energy & Community Services: Family Stabilization Specialist

Family Stabilization Specialist

Work with individuals and families to develop strategies for achieving stability. Conduct interviews and provide counseling; refer clients to other community agencies for support services and training; monitor client progress; provide follow-up services and crises intervention if indicated; assists with job placement; maintain records; and make reports. Four year college degree or a combination of education and work experience in social work, human services, adult education, or related field. Must have a reliable automobile for daily use (mileage reimbursed). Salary $28,629 + depending upon qualifications. DATA MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Provide oversight and data management for agency wide reporting using the e-Logic data base software system. Coordinate and monitor data entry by agency staff, run diagnostic reports, meet with agency staff to ensure data quality, provide report analysis, assist with completion of reports, and conduct on-site training for data entry staff. Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a BS in Social Work with a concentration in research, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics and experience in office procedure, word processing, database management, etc. preferred . An equivalent combination of related work experience may be substituted for the education requirement. CAC – Workforce Connections has an opening for a Career Specialist. This position is in Local Workforce Development Area 1, which includes Kingsport, Johnson City, Elizabethton, Mountain City and Irwin. This position is responsible for assisting job-seeking customers with career development activities designed to link them with employment. Specialists also assist employers with workforce development services. Career Specialists are responsible for meeting performance goals of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act. Qualifications include graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in social work, human services education, public or business administration, or related field and at least one year of progressively responsible related work experience. An equivalent combination of related work experience and education may be substituted for the education requirement. Entry salary range is $13.77 – $14.83 per hour.
