Lead Cook – Mobile Meals Kitchen

MOBILE MEALS KITCHEN LEAD COOK

A reliable, hardworking individual is needed to assume the lead role in all aspects of preparing and cooking of meals at the CAC Mobile Meals Kitchen. Primarily responsible for the preparation of food and the cook/chill process of all food products on the menu according to established recipes. This individual will participate in food preparation, including ordering, receiving, cooking and packaging. This individual will have a high level of commitment to quality and strict adherence to sanitation guidelines. Must have three years of verifiable line cook experience, preferably in a high volume institutional setting and a minimum of one year verifiable lead cook experience. This individual must be able to pass ServSafe Food Certification, physical, criminal background check, and a post offer drug screen. Workforce Connections – One-Stop Manager

CAC – Workforce Connections has a management position open with responsibility for coordinating service delivery of the American Job Center (AJC) partners and service providers in Local Workforce Development Area 1 (LWDA 1). This area includes Kingsport, Johnson City, Elizabethton, Mountain City and Irwin. The individual in this position will work closely with the leadership of all AJC partners. The One-Stop Manager fulfills the One-Stop Operator functions and acts as a liaison between the AJCs and the Local Workforce Development Board and the LWDB Director in LWDA 1. This individual will also provide oversight to the delivery of Title 1 Career Services. Qualifications include a four-year degree in social work, human services, education, public or business administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred. At least five years of progressively responsible related work experience including supervision. An equivalent combination of education and related work experience may be substituted for the education requirement. Entry salary range is $41,463 – $46, 910. KNOXVILLE-KNOX COUNTY COMMUNITY ACTION COMITtEE (CAC)

CAC – Workforce Connections has an opening for a Career Specialist. This position is in Local Workforce Development Area 1, which includes Kingsport, Johnson City, Elizabethton, Mountain City and Irwin. This position is responsible for assisting job-seeking customers with career development activities designed to link them with employment. Specialists also assist employers with workforce development services. Career Specialists are responsible for meeting performance goals of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act. Qualifications include graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in social work, human services education, public or business administration, or related field and at least one year of progressively responsible related work experience. An equivalent combination of related work experience and education may be substituted for the education requirement. Entry salary range is $13.77 – $14.83 per hour. Vehicle Operator

Reliable, caring person needed to work full-time or part-time. Available schedules include daytime, evenings, nights, and weekends. A valid Tennessee Driver’s License and an excellent driving record are required. Must be able to assist passengers on and off the vehicle, including those with disabilities and those in wheelchairs. Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds, read, write, compute, and have good communications skills. If hired, DOT physical exam with drug screening is required.
