The Council on Aging meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month (except for July and August) at 2:00 p.m. at the O’Connor Senior Center located at 611 Winona Street. The Council on Aging is the advisory body to the Office on Aging.

The Council on Aging meetings provide an excellent educational opportunity for those who are interested in learning more about current senior issues such as: home safety, living wills, identity theft, communication, estate taxes, end of life decisions, transportation, how to choose a good assisted living facility, prescription drug costs and much more. Check your recent issue of Elder News and Views to see what topic is coming up next! (To be added to that mailing list, call the CAC Office of Aging at 524-2786.)

Membership in the Council on Aging is open to senior organizations including retirees, church and other senior groups; community organizations that are interested in aging issues; and agencies and businesses that provide services for seniors. Membership in the Council on Aging is free of charge. Members receive monthly meeting notices by mail.

For additional information about Council on Aging meetings, please contact Barbara Monty , Director, at 524.2786 or email: barbara.monty@knoxcac.org.
